YOU GUYS.

HAZARDS OF LOVE LIVE IS RIDICULOUS. It was like the best aural sex ever. I mean, after the first set, I was all satisfied, and really spent, and all of my muscles were like jelly. And then they came out and played MORE. The Rake's Song was phenomenal, with Colin's voice all synthesized and everybody on the drums. I want to be Shara Worden when I grow up. This is what I can remember of the setlist:

Getting in line as noon was totally worth. Colin Meloy, you are still a fox, even with that douchy hair, with all the long baaaaangs and close-cropped sides. After the show, he came out to sign stuff in skinny jeans. Yeah. (Also, Alicia, N8 was looking mighty fine.)

He is so handsome and ... stoic almost. I love it. I love how Colin always introduces Dracula's Daughter by saying "This is the worst song I've ever written..." yet he's played it countless times live.
I've actually heard Apology Song live like 3 or 4 times now I think. And its always good. Why are they so amazing, ugh??!

They played the music for it, and had the children's vocal track playing over the live parts. It was still really cool. It gave Colin a well deserved break.

OMG SLEEPLESS LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!

boo to o'valencia, i could go my life without hearing that song live ever again...but at least there was no PC2 action


amazed at the number of old tracks they played AFTER hazards...can't wait to see them in july in 2 different states!!

I just saw them in milwaukee, the second song set was TOTALLY different.

Dracula's Daughter (which he intro-ed by saying it was so bad that God cried a big storm to stop him from writing it)

They also played a cover song that I wasn't familiar with. The girls from Hazards of Love were singing.


Then the rest of the band left, he came out alone and played Red Right Ankle
Then the rest of the band came back and they did Sons and Daughters
for Sons and Daughters they let like, half the audience on the stage to sing with them. Really cool.
